DANHOSTEL Copenhagen City

With 1020 beds in 192 rooms, DANHOSTEL Copenhagen City is nothing less than Europe’s first and largest design hostel. There is a fantastic view over the city, the Opera, and the districts Christianshavn, and Islands Brygge from the 15-storey building next to one of Copenhagen’s main bridges. The five-star, smoke-free hostel is located right in the heart of Copenhagen and it’s only a few minutes walk to the Town Hall Sqaure, Tivoli, the Central Station, and all of Copenhagen’s wonderful sights and activities. The Danish design company GUBI created the designer furniture for the all the rooms and lobbies in this distinctive building. GUBI also created furniture for the Museum of Modern Art in New York.

Special events and activities for guests at the hostel are not unusual. The hostel’s kitchen serves breakfast and the lounge with its mix of traditional café, juice bar and shop is open all day. You will also find an Internet café and TV room, a guest kitchen and laundry room at the hostel. The Reception is open 24 hours a day.

DANHOSTEL Copenhagen City is run by DGI-byen which is only 10 minutes walk from the hostel. There are many great activities at DGI-byen such as swimming in the unusual Swim Centre, a Spa, café, restaurant, bowling, a fitness centre, and much more. As a guest at the hostel, you get a 10% discount in DGI-byen at the Spa, Swim Centre, Gym, Café, Bowling Alley, and Vestauranten (the restaurant)*.
