1. Parking
Danhostel Copenhagen City does not have any private parking, but we refer to the public parking in the area around the building. Please note that parking must be paid in the parkingmeters on the streets, for more information please go to www.parking.dk.
2. International Hostelcards
International hostel membershipcards (YHA cards) are obligatory for everyone over 18 years of age and the cards are personal. If you are not a member then there will be an extra fee.
An International Hostel card is DKK 160,- pr person and its valid for one year from the day you purchase it. You can still stay at the hostel if you are not a member, but there will be an extra fee of DKK 35,- pr person pr night. So if you plan to stay at hostels for more than 4 nights, it will be cheaper for you to buy the hostelcard.
3. Prices, breakfast & Bed linen
The prices of the beds may vary, and are always exclusive of bed linen and breakfast. Bed linen (incl. towel) can be rented for DKK 60,- pr person pr stay. (Sleeping bags are not allowed). If you do not wish to rent the bed linen, then you have to bring it yourself. The breakfast buffet cost DKK 65,- for adults and half price for children under 12 years.
4. Shower and toilet
All our rooms have shower and toilet. But you have bring your own shampoo, soap etc.
5. Check in/check out & opening hours
The rooms are available from 2 pm on the arrival day, and if you arrive later than 5 pm then we need to now an arrival time to be able to hold your reservation. Check out time on your departure day is 9 am at the latest. The reception is open 24 hours a day so there will always be someone here to check you in.
6. Luggage storage
There are lockers in the majority of our rooms, but you have to bring your own pad lock. You can also rent/buy locks in the reception.
If you arrive before check in time it is possible to store your luggage until the rooms are ready at 2 pm, however it is still at your own responsibility. Groups of more than 10 persons have to contact the reception regarding possible luggage storage before check in.
Please note that upon check out we do NOT have any luggage storage possibilities and refer to the storage at the main central station.
7. Guest kitchen and laundry
We have a guest kitchen and a laundry room in the basement of the hostel. Please note that the kitchen is reserved for individuals and families only. Groups of more than 10 persons can not use the kitchen. It is not allowed to make food or eat in the rooms. Drinking in the rooms is also not allowed.
8. Dormitory rooms/private rooms
Our room categories are 4-, 6-, 8- and 10-person rooms! The 4-person family rooms are therefore the smallest we can offer, so if you wish to stay just two persons in the room, you pay for all the 4 beds to have it for yourselves.
Our dormitory rooms have either 6, 8 or 10 beds, and they can be either mixed rooms or all female rooms.
9. Smoking
The entire hostel is a non-smoking hostel. It is not allowed to smoke anywhere inside the building.
10. Payment and Booking
If you book via our website you have to pay for the stay immediately. If you book via phone or email more than 14 days before arrival, you have to pay for the stay within two weeks. If you book within 14 days of arrival you have to pay for your stay upon check in at the latest.
